Our LBI - Beach Haven Charter Vessel Reel Time sails out of the famous Stewarts Rootbeer Marina on Route 9 in Tuckerton New Jersey, right next door to Tuckerton Seaport. We are just minutes from Little Egg Inlet, Great Bay, Barnegat Bay and Beach Haven, Long Beach Island. We frequently fish the waters North to Barnegat Light and Seaside Heights/Island Beach State Park or South to Brigantine and Atlantic City.

Reel Time is hosted by Captain Mike who holds a United States Coast Guard 50 ton Master Captains license. He has fished the waters of South Jersey throughout his entire life and has a talented crew ready to exceed your expectations. The vessel is a 25’ Parker walkaround with cabin, twin outboards, and comfortable fishing room for up to 6 passengers. The vessel features the latest technology in GPS, fishfinding, communications, and emergency gear.

You can experience inshore and offshore fishing adventures, as well as, wreck, reef and back bay fishing depending on your focus. We accept private, custom, and shared charters or you can schedule your fishing during an open boat. We invite you, your family, and your friends to experience the sportfishing of a lifetime!

Fluke (Summer Flounder) Drift Fishing (Drifting) from the back bays to the offshore reefs and lumps. Fluke start moving in towards the inlets and bays early spring. Fluke will generally gather close to the inlet, beaches, and pass on into the back bays and rivers early in the season, in pursuit of the warmer waters. As the season progresses we will find them in deeper waters, in larger concentrations, and more in the doormat sizes. Fluke fishing has been one of the most sought after species of fish along the Jersey shore for many generations.

Sea Bass Charters Beach Haven LBI Little Egg Inlet:

Sea Bass (Black Sea Bass) Wrecks, Reefs, Structure, Bottom Fishing. Sea Bass start moving inshore in the early spring and we can find them closer to shore in middle to end of spring beginning of summer. In the fall wow watch out things really heat up hear as the get ready for there jaunt offshore for the winter. These guys will bite just about anything you send down, pulling up double and triple headers to fill the coolers. These are one of my favorite eating fish hands down. Sea Bass fishing is one of the best non stop action fishing for all age groups and great bonding time on the water. Like fishing in a barrel.

Bluefish Charters Beach Haven LBI Little Egg Inlet:

Bluefish (Slammer Blues) These fierce fighting nonstop aggressive fish can be found just about any were in our waters. The bluefish start showing up in the bays and inlets early spring, and all up and down the beaches just a few weeks later. Middle to end of spring early summer they are just about every were you can find bait. The larger fish (slammer blues) will usually be found a little more offshore. Pound for pound these guys are number one for reel screaming, rod bending, line breaking non stop action. These guys can be chummed up, jigged up, trolled up, or almost anything goes when their in a frenzy.

STRIPER (STRIPED BASS) Fishing These fish are another most sought after sportfish up and down the Jersey coast. Striped Bass can usually be caught in strong numbers and size in the late spring and early summer following the bunker schools along the beaches. This is where you can enjoy some real run and gun fishing with an opportunity for a trophy size Bass. This time of the year, I prefer bunker chunking, live-lining, or trolling with Bunker Spoons. The fall run is a great time to break out the shad rigs, eel rigs, or drift some live eels. This offers another great opportunity for a nice trophy striped bass.

SHARK HUNTING (FISHING) Offshore Mako, Thresher, Blue Sharks. This is one of my favorites. Break out the balloons and the glow sticks as we spend a night on the water targeting these large predators. This is always sure to be a party. There is nothing like sitting patiently sharing stories in the moonlight with your buddies waiting for the fight of a lifetime. This is like camping at sea with the anticipation of when your reel will scream, and the fight is on! In almost full darkness waiting for the monster to surface into the view of the spreader lights, will it be the man in the blue suit, the samurai of the sea, or big blue? Wow, this is a rush, a battle, are you up for this? After landing this toothy giant, the morning might offer some more tasty treats such as Mahi Mahi, Tuna, or even a Wahoo. This is an awesome trip that will make memories.
